Imagine a woman whose passport has more stamps than a border officer’s during peak season—because that’s how it used to be. That’s exactly who I was—a traveler for whom “settling down temporarily” really just meant preparing for the next journey. Nowadays, my travel pace has slowed to a minimum, thanks to my children, who put an end to my intense globetrotting. But now that they’re grown up, we’ll see what happens next in my life!
Right after university, I packed a backpack bigger than myself and, along with my then-husband, set off into the world, convinced that return tickets were for the weak. Since then, I have visited over 80 countries—some of them alone—lived through more adventures than Indiana Jones, and eaten more bizarre dishes than any human probably ever should.
The result of these countless adventures is three travel books in which I describe my experiences, mishaps, and unforgettable encounters with people from all corners of the world. Each book overflows with humor, inspiring stories, and practical tips, enabling readers to feel as if they’re traveling through exotic countries themselves—without risking passport loss or haggling over camel or rickshaw prices in India!
My love for wandering hasn’t faded. Quite the opposite! I feel like the world is calling me to keep exploring.
Where will I go tomorrow? Who knows? But one thing is certain—I’ll be back on the road soon.
